Is Austerity Drive a Political Gimmick??
The Congress party in India has advised its Ministers to travel in Economy class when traveling by flight even for official purposes. The Government is going to be gunning for austerity was the message. Even two prominent ministers were asked to vacate their suites in five-star hotels.Opposition parties berate this act of congress and they describe the act as mere Tokenism. The opposition parties said that instead of concentrating on the core issues like poverty and various suicidal attempts by farmers because of it, unemployment and many more, the Government is trying to divert the attention of people. The opposition will always oppose irrespective of what the action or the result is (is that what the name Opposition referring to!!). Let us first allow them to execute their plan. One ofthe worst policies which is followed in politics even now is that they want to ripe the fruit as soon as they plant a seed. How is it possible??
As soon as a policy is signed, we want its success the next day. I tried to understand the logic behind this expectation. But I could not understand it. This expectation is not only from politicians who are sitting pretty as opposition but also from people who are supporting this rootless logic. Let it be a failure, but give them an opportunity to execute a failure which may throw light on the way to success!!
Edison failed thousand times and ended up with thousand new products. Was that a failure??
