Interesting facts about Mahatma!!!
- Mahatma Gandhi spoke English with an Irish accent, inspired from his first teacher who was Irish.
- He had a set of false teeth to eat. He used to wash them after eating and preserve them in his loin cloth.
- Gandhi started a newspaper called “Indian Opinion” in four languages (English, Tamil, Gujarati and Hindi) in which he has written more than 16 columns.
- Gandhi’s income in South Africa reached around $15,000 a year, which is still a dream for many.
- He tried out different dieting to live cheap but healthy. And at last found the goat milk and fruits formula as a key to good health.
- He has never visited United States but he has many American fans and followers.
- On seeing the poor condition of the nation Gandhi asked the people not to bring any more children to this world. (With the thought that they will at least sleep in heaven for some more time).
- He was the inspiration for most of the Nobel Prize for peace winners like Nelson Mandela, Aung Sun Tsu Kyi, Martin Luther King, Dalai Lama but Nobel Prize is not honored yet as Gandhi is still not a recipient of Nobel Prize. What will the award do without this great man??
